Edward Forte has had a long and successful career in the construction industry. Stepping out on his own with his first business venture, Cler, Inc. in 1986, he grew the business performing general contracting while self-performing in excavation, sewer & water, concrete and demolition to an annual volume of $30 million, before eventually closing the doors to pursue other business opportunities.
After Cler, Mr. Forte worked as the General Manager for Precise Industrial Systems, a startup MBE contractor also specializing in general contracting, excavation, sewer & water, concrete and demolition. During this time, Mr. Forte also established the City of Chicago’s first MBE ready mix concrete plant, Speedy Redi-Mix. After years of successful operations in both aspects of the industry, Precise Industrial eventually wound down operations as the owner no longer wished to pursue business in the construction industry, and Mr. Forte sold Speedy Redi-Mix.
The creation of Precise Construction & Dismantlement Systems was a family decision. After the successful sale of Speedy Redi-Mix, Mr. Forte sought to provide a future for his two daughters, who were on course to finish their undergraduate degrees in 2012 and 2015 respectively. Mr. Forte’s eldest daughter, Victoria Forte, was pursuing a degree in economics with an eye toward an MBA, and wished to carry on the family legacy in construction. At this news, Mr. Forte elected to start back into the business of construction, and created Precise Construction & Dismantlement Systems, Inc.
